- Services and oversees bank acquisitions of defaulted loans including Nomura’s acquisition of Dime Savings Bank of New York’s portfolio and First Union’s acquisition of Center Bank’s portfolio
Has run private fund pools of so-called “hard money” loans which required special attention
While practicing law, he built Reiner, Reiner & Bendett, P.C. into one of the preeminent law firms in Connecticut; a firm specializing in foreclosures, bankruptcies, REO’s and evictions
Served on the board of the USFN for six years and named committee chair of the year while chairing USFN Legal Issues Committee
Has served on several different boards including Connecticut Mortgage Bankers Association, Connecticut Society of Mortgage Brokers and Connecticut Housing Finance Authority Loss Mitigation Task Force
Is also a HUD commissioner
